Walter Scott is an investment management business built to deliver long-term success. We think of growth in decades and consider impact for generations, ignoring the volatility of the moment and the results of the day. By keeping our strategy straightforward, we can go deeper in our research and further for our clients.
It is an approach that begins and ends with doing the right thing. For the clients we serve around the world – protecting and enhancing their assets. For our community – supporting causes with tangible outcomes for people in Edinburgh, and beyond. And for our employees who make it all possible – fostering a close-knit culture, nurturing personal growth and offering truly rewarding careers.
We offer openness, respect and opportunity for all. This starts with having the policies and procedures in place to support diversity, equity and inclusion. However, we recognise that policies and procedures can only do so much. We all have a part to play to make our commitment integral to our culture – to make Walter Scott a positive, welcoming and engaging place to work.
That means dismantling the barriers to achievement and valuing the perspectives that come with a diverse workforce. It also means supporting the organisations who help us reach a diverse group of talented individuals – for example The Robertson Trust, Future Asset, the Juniper Trust and Black Professionals United Kingdom.
We want you to hear from our people themselves, this short film will give you a little more insight into our culture.
